SOCOM:
Confrontation
If I
need to point to one game that Sony made that is successful on starting
up PS2's non-existent PS2 network, it would be SOCOM (some would argue
with me on Final Fantasy XI). There is just a rabid fan base for SOCOM,
and it happens that this one is rumor to be multiplayer online and its
being developed by Canadian base studio, Slant Six. Zipper is working
very closely with them to make sure SOCOM: Confrontation comes out
right. Zipper themselves are working on a totally new SOCOM that will
deliver the whole package of first and multiplayer experience. SOCOM:C
is coming out without vehicles (more concentrated on tactical close
quarter combat)!! Rejoice fans of the original SOCOM, Sony is listening
to your bitching!
